P&C hosted an entertaining and fun social TRIVIA NIGHT on Saturday 20 August. Our school hall was transformed with cleverly decorated themed tables and guests wearing creative costumes, including Superheroes, Weddings (complete with a huge 2 tier cake!), Alice in Wonderland, 1920’s glitz, Gangsters, Nerds, handcuffed Felons, 80s double denim complete with bouffy hairsprayed ‘dos, dancing Mexicans, Magic Faraway Tree, brightly lit ideas, Stick figure families, working from home half dressed guests, and Monty Python’s A Fact in your General Direction….
We had an amazing Lucky Door prize generously donated by Spicers Balfour, and over a dozen raffle prizes all kindly given by wonderful local businesses. Congrats to all winners!
Harry’s Trivia was fantastic, and alcohol was supplied by Bouchon, Dan Murphy’s and Soapbox Beer. The delicious dinner provided by Taj Mahal Indian Cuisine was plentiful….homemade desserts made by wonderful NFSS parents & P&C exec topped the night off!
For the first time ever, both the Trivia Champions and best themed table were won by the same table – the Holy Grail – A Fact in your General Direction! Bragging rights will be forever engraved on the Trivia Trophy for all of eternity.
We are happy to announce we raised just over $8000! This will go towards playspaces, gardens and outdoor learning activities.

Thank you to the parents who volunteered at the bar and made desserts and helped on the night. We could not have done it without your assistance! Next year’s Trivia Night will be bigger and better…P&C has a lot more planned for the rest of the year so come along to the future P&C meetings, get to know more people in this community and this beautiful school of ours. Parent engagement, more social interactions, involvement and connections – that is PRICELESS!
