STEM in the garden

Integrated curriculum STEM in the garden

Thanks to Julie, Louise and the rest of the New Farm State School P&C who have worked so hard to grow our beautiful gardens here at New Farm State School.

This term students from various year levels will be using Little Patch and Little Farm to explore how science and technology help us grow our food.

In particular, the Year 6 students will be collecting data about the current and potential garden beds using micro:bits to learn how conditions like light availability, temperature and soil moisture effect the growth and survival of the plants.
